Have you ever sat on an airplane, on a window seat, just looking at the clouds passing by? Does this feeling ever get old? I don’t think it’ll ever will. There is a saying by Leonardo da Vinci “Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”
I Personally believe that if your passion is in the sky, flying the world and doing what you love. It will never get boring and if it does? Find a new adventure.
In all the years I’ve been flying, in private and commercial aviation searching for the one thing I wanted, the thing I was looking for all had 1 thing in common. The sky as office view. Aviation is in my heart and soul. No matter if I’m on the ground or in the air I will always look to the sky.
Combining that view with another thing I love, hospitality and being creative is the perfect combination. I have found my match in the unknown world of private aviation. If you are reading this, you are either an aviation professional or interested in becoming one and finally found some information on a job, on which there is not much info to be found. I once too was in that position, wanting to enter in the industry but couldn’t find any information on how to get in or more information about the job.
That is also one of the main reasons why Dynamic Attendants was founded. I believe that there are passionate people out there wanting the job, wanting to invest in their future and follow their dreams, but how? Well that’s why we are here, we want to make that step smaller. Not by only training you but also mentoring you towards that dream job, may it be in our own team or elsewhere.
Will it be easy, working on board of private jets? It will not. Being a Corporate Flight Attendant isn’t always glitter and glamour. Yes, you will be flying on a multi-million jet, however you are not seated on the fancy seats with the passengers. You will be working in the small few square meters galley. Sometimes 16 passengers and sometimes only 2. Sometimes I describe it as running your own small luxury hotel, all the staff called in sick and you are alone. Running the kitchen, the bar, cleaning and housekeeping. To make it a bit harder, in some cases you will only have a microwave. Managing your cabin, planning ahead and being prepared will make a lot of difference. How do you get there? Well, that would be training.
You are a commercial flight attendant and thinking what will be different? Let’s start with no rest. Long haul 13-hour flight? No problem, taking your break? We would say which break? You don’t have your colleague next to you to take over so you can take a nap. On the other hand, working on a smaller team, most likely just the cockpit crew and you can be a lot of fun as well. Your crew can become friends, your flying family. Sometimes you’ll see them more often than your actual family.
Travelling the world is amazing, not knowing when you’ll be home or not knowing where you are going tomorrow, Ad-hoc flights, missing birthdays, weddings, funerals and your life at home can be hard. There are moments that you will be alone, are you strong to go out on your own? Will you still enjoy the cities when you are walking thru it alone? If not, this might not be your job.
